What is an intra-workout?
An intra-workout is a drink you sip while training. Formulas usually contain amino acids, electrolytes, carbohydrates or a mix of these.
- Amino acids: EAAs contain all nine essential amino acids; BCAAs contain three of them.
- Electrolytes: sodium, potassium and magnesium to replace what you lose in sweat.
- Carbohydrates: for long or high-volume sessions.
Check whether a formula contains caffeine before mixing it with a pre-workout.
